If you use iTron for your to manage your meter readings, you can add your data directly to Utility Cloud with our iTron integration. With an account, asset class, and workflow configured to work with our iTron configuration, you can import your readings to create your meter assets and their work history in Utility Cloud.
iTron configuration
Meters and meter readings from iTron must be associated with an account, asset class, and workflow before importing into Utility Cloud. Once that configuration is completed, a Customer Success representative with Utility Cloud will link those together for import.
Account configuration
Only one account can hold the meter assets you import from iTron. That account needs to have the same business line as your meter assets and meter reading workflows, but otherwise doesn't need any special configuration. For more information on setting up a new account or editing an existing one, see Accounts.
Asset class configuration
The asset class you configure for use with iTron will represent your meter assets. The asset class should be the same business line as your account and workflow, and requires the below fields:

Linking your account, asset class, and workflow
Once your account, asset class, and workflow are created and configured in your billing account, a Utility Cloud Customer Success representative will need to link them together prior to you importing your data. You can submit a ticket or contact us on the Contact us page.
Importing your iTron data
With configuration complete, you can follow the below steps to import your iTron data:

Select the iTron Import tile from the Landing Page or from the left navigation bar.

Select Choose files, select your iTron .dat file, then select Upload.
Once you have uploaded your .dat file, a job will be scheduled to create your meter assets and their meter reading workflow reports. Once the job is completed you will be notified in the jobs panel and sent an email of successful completion and your assets and workflow reports will be visible in the configured account.
