Clearing Cache

Your web browser's cache is where site data is stored, both to improve page performance and support the ability to complete work offline. Cookies are pieces of information stored by your browser that save your site settings. Sometimes these items become out of date and need to be cleared.

Desktop Google Chrome

To clear your cache with Google Chrome:

  1. Select the ellipsis icon (three vertical dots)  Or  Control + H and proceed to #3. or hold down Shift + Ctrl + Delete and it will bring you to the clear cache page in Google.
  2. History
  3. From the menu on the left select Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Select the following check boxes:
    1. Browsing history
    2. Download history
    3. Cached Images and Files
    4. Cookies and other site plugin data
    5. Hosted App Data

5. Select Clear data

6. Close and restart your browser.

Another way:

To hard refresh on Google Chrome on Windows or Linux Operating System. Hold down Ctrl (Control) + Shift and click R. Or hold down Ctrl (Control) and click the Reload button.


Desktop/Surface Microsoft Internet Explorer

To clear your cache with Internet Explorer (verified version 11):

  1. Go to Tools | Internet Options.
  2. Under Browsing History, select Delete.
  3. Select the following check boxes:
    • Temporary Internet files and website files
    • Cookies and website data
    • History
    • Download history
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Close and restart your browser.

Desktop Apple Safari

To clear your cache with Apple Safari:

  1. Select the Settings Icon.
  2. Scroll down to select Safari.
  3. From the right side menu Select Clear History and Website Data.
  4. Select Clear.
  5. Close and restart your browser.

Mobile Safari for iOS (iPhone, iPad)

  1. From the home screen, Select Settings
  2. Scroll to Safari.
  3. At the bottom of Safari's settings screen, Select Clear cookies and data or Clear Cookies and Clear Cache.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

Chrome on iOS (iPhone, iPad)

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app.
  2. At the top-right, tap More.
  3. Tap History. Clear browsing data.
  4. Make sure that there's a tick mark next to 'Cookies, site data' and 'Cached images and files'.
  5. Tap Clear browsing data.

Chrome on Android

To clear cache in Chrome on an Android

  1. Launch Chrome.
  2. Press the 3 vertical bars in the upper right.
  3. Select History.
  4. Press 'Clear browsing history'
  5. Select the Advanced tab
  6. Select 'All Time' from the Time Range field
  7. Ensure the following are checked:
    • Browsing history
    • Cookies and site date
    • Cached images and files
    • Site Settings

Mobile Android

To clear your cache on an Android device:

  1. Launch your browser.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Press More.
  4. Press Settings.
  5. Scroll down to Privacy Settings.
  6. Press Clear All Cookie Data.
  7. Press OK.

Samsung Galaxy 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > Settings > Apps.
  2. Select Application manager.
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
  4. Select Storage.
  5. Select CLEAR CACHE. This option may not be available for all apps

Amazon Kindle Fire

Please contact Utility Cloud Customer Support before clearing the cache on your device!

To clear your cache on a Kindle:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the Kindle’s screen and select Settings.
  2. Select Applications.
  3. Select Silk Browser.
  4. Select Clear Browser Data.
  5. Select the following items:
    1. History
    2. Cache
    3. Cookie Data
  6. Select OK.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History.


  1. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
  2. Check the following options:
    1. Browsing and Download History
    2. Form & Search History
    3. Cookies
    4. Cache
    5. Offline Website Data

  1. Select Clear Now.



Mobile Apple iOS, iPad and iPhone

Please contact Utility Cloud Customer Support before clearing the cache on your device!

To clear your cache on an Apple device:

1. Select Settings.

2. Select Safari.

3. Scroll down and select Clear History and Website Data.


4. Select Advanced.

5. Select Website data.

6. Select Remove all website data.

7.  Select Edit.

7. Select the remove icon next to "ucld.us", then Done.
